More than words
Responsibility isn't just a box checking exercise for us. From the beginning, we created Athletegy to be a company which anticipated our customer's needs and put them FIRST.
We knew that our definition of responsibility did not stop at providing the best quality products we could; it was much more than that. It meant building a company that operated in an environmentally and socially responsible way as well as making certain our business partners did the same.
It also meant giving back. Here's how we are doing that.
When someone we love has cancer, we are all affected. For many of us, the heaviest burdens we will face will not be found in a gym.
When we train our bodies to be strong, the realization that some burdens cannot be shifted alone is particularly difficult. A true strength comes from seeing there are many in this community, many fighting this same battle alongside.
We Lift Heavy Things is our initiative inspired by the personal journey of our co-founder. Through it, we seek to raise money for cancer research and treatments.
100% of the proceeds from our signature Gem Tee will go to support patients and lifesaving research through the American Cancer Society.
Alone our strength has limits but together we can move mountains.
It was important to us that getting our products to their final destinations was as low impact on the environment as possible.
All of our packaging is made from environmentally friendly materials. Our mailer bags, product bags, stickers and even our shipping labels are all made from 100% compostable PBAT and PLA polymers.
Our tissue paper and card inserts are made from FSC recycled paper and printed using vegetable based ink.
We know that there is always more to do to make Athletegy a more sustainable company. It is our commitment to continue finding new solutions and exploring new processes to do just that.
The fitness apparel industry hasn't always had the best reputation when it comes to manufacturing conditions. Before we attached our name to anything, it was imperative that we partnered with a manufacturer who created a healthy and safe working environment for the people making our clothes.
Our manufacturer's WRAP Certification acknowledges that we collectively not only look after our people but that the factories we utilize comply with international environmental standards and regulations.
